St. Anthony School was established in 1894 under the administration of the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose and merged with Immaculate Conception Elementary School in 1998. Combined and renamed St. Anthony-Immaculate Conception (SAIC) School, the Dominican tradition continues to focus on the Catholic sacramental journey for students to use their God-given talents to grow morally and spiritually. The school motto of “Old Tradition, New Spirit” reflects the foundation that has made this school a fixture in the Mission District of San Francisco for the past 116 years.

SAIC is the only Catholic elementary school in the San Francisco Archdiocese to have a modified year-round schedule. The programs offered in addition to the core curriculum include: music, art, computer classes, and physical education. Extra-curricular activities include competitive sports, service opportunities, and participation in the Archdiocese Academic Decathlon. Services and programs available to our students and families include special needs support, tutoring, counseling, morning and after school care, and Federal free or reduced lunch.
